Sydney Cancer Partners

Sydney Cancer Partners was formed under the support of Sydney Health Partners in 2021 following the award of a Cancer Institute NSW Translational Research Capacity Building grant. The Sydney Health Partners Clinical Academic Group (CAG) forms the research translation arm of Sydney Cancer Partners.

A focus of Sydney Cancer Partners is to engage with multi-disciplinary team based cancer care, as a means to position translational research in the clinical care environment. A benefit of this approach is broad exposure of clinicians, who are not already involved in research, to research practice and theory.

Sydney Cancer Partners works closely with the University of Sydney Cancer Research Network to foster collaboration through support and engagement with the network's Special Interest Groups.

The Cancer Clinical Academic Group (CAG) focuses on research translation initiatives of Sydney Cancer Partners and draws on the experience of clinicians, trainees and consumers of health services to ensure fit between translational research proposed and requirements for practice change.
