The scholarships of $41,753 per annum for up to 3.5 years will support research into Alzheimer’s disease and Motor Neurone Disease.

The offer of scholarships follows the recent announcement that SHP received a grant of $2 million over five years from Equity Trustees’ Medical Research and Health Partnership Program.

Equity Trustees is one of Australia’s largest providers of trustee and executor services, including philanthropic services. Through it, the Mason Foundation has funded the scholarship for Alzheimer’s research, while the Jane Frances Hayes and Frederick Williams Hayes Charitable Trust has funded the scholarship for MND research.

Both scholarships are for PhD students undertaking clinical/health services research that contributes to either improved healthcare delivery, improved care experiences, and/or improved quality of life for people living with the nominated disease.

Eligibility is restricted to domestic students who have either an offer of admission, or are currently enrolled, to study full-time for a PhD within FMH (or are willing to apply for admission).

Applications close on December 15. For further details and to apply, please click on the links below.
