The Matching and Advisory Program for Implementation Science (MAPS) is designed to encourage the implementation and translation of research into practice. Through the program, participants are paired with an Implementation Advisor who provides practical guidance and support for research translation projects.

The goal of MAPS is to build capacity and expertise across Sydney Health Partners, enabling participants to:

Strengthen collaboration between researchers and health professionals

Expand their knowledge of implementation science

Turn innovative ideas into real-world improvements in patient care

2024 MAPS Participants and Advisors

The first 22 health professionals and researchers from across Sydney Health Partners’ network joined the MAPS program in September 2024.

Participants have been matched with an advisor to receive a year of tailored support with their implementation science projects. The advisors are working closely with participants to provide advice on:

  • Designing and evaluating projects
  • Applying relevant theories and frameworks
  • Securing funding for implementation research
  • Scaling up or sustaining projects.

See the full list of participants and advisors below.
