Sydney Health Partners’ Implementation Science Academy draws on a wealth of clinical and academic experience across our Partnership to:
- Strengthen workforce and system capacity and capability for implementation science and health economics
- Support innovation and methodological advancements in the science of implementation and health economics
- Facilitate collaboration that improves uptake of evidence into large and diverse health systems.
The Academy makes a crucial contribution towards realising our vision of transforming the way research improves patient care and public health in the Australian health system.
What Is Implementation Science?
Implementation science studies how to translate research findings and evidence-based practices into routine care to improve health service quality and effectiveness.
It explores:
- How to influence organisational and clinician/health care professional behaviour
- How to ensure practice is guided by evidence
- How to learn from successful implementations and replicate them elsewhere.
