Sydney Health Partners is a new kind of organisation, with a mission to
help translate research into evidence-based healthcare

We aim to deliver the benefits of research innovation to our patients and communities more quickly and consistently.

As an Australian Government-accredited Advanced Health Research and Translation Centre, our partnership aims to deliver the benefits of research innovation to patients and communities more quickly and more consistently.

The applied research our Partners lead results in clinicians doing things differently in their daily work, and at every level of healthcare. Its research that speeds the journey of the great ideas into better health outcomes.

A Strong Partnership

Our partnership is made up of the Sydney, Northern Sydney, and Western Sydney Local Health Districts; the Sydney Children’s Hospital Network (at Westmead), the University of Sydney and ten affiliated medical research institutes.

Collectively, our Partners care for 2.7 million people, representing more than 10 per cent of the Australian population and 50 per cent of people across New South Wales.

Our unique advantages rest in the strong leadership of our Local Health Districts, a long history of successful collaboration between the University and research institutes and our scale of operation.
