Sydney Health Partners Announces 2026 Implementation Science Pilot Grants
Sydney Health Partners has opened applications for the 2026 round of Implementation Science Pilot Grants, offering up to 11 funding opportunities to support research that helps translate evidence into everyday practice.
Published date:
The program will provide a total funding pool of up to $220,000, with a maximum of $20,000 per pilot grant, for projects commencing in 2027. Two pilot grants will be supported by the Charles Perkins Centre Implementation Hub through the Jennie Mackenzie Research Fund.
Applications are open to researchers, clinicians and health professionals planning to undertake research within SHP partner organisations to address real-world implementation challenges in healthcare.
Now in its sixth year, the pilot grants program continues to build implementation science capability across SHP partner organisations by supporting projects that translate research evidence into routine clinical practice, led by teams from all clinical disciplines, allied health, medicine and nursing. The program enables teams to test and evaluate implementation efforts to improve the uptake of evidence‑based care across health services.
Projects funded through the program generate valuable preliminary data, strengthen collaboration between researchers and health services, and help position new researchers and teams for larger competitive funding opportunities.
Applications must be submitted by 5pm AEST on Friday, 3rd July 2026.
