A diverse cohort of healthcare professionals and researchers has successfully graduated from the Sydney Health Partners Implementation Science Academy’s 2026 Masterclass.

Published date:

For the first time, the Masterclass was delivered across Nepean Blue Mountains and Western Sydney Local Health Districts, strengthening cross-district collaboration and learning.

Across two intensive days, participants explored key elements of implementation science, from defining research questions and selecting study designs to applying practical theories and frameworks.

Participant Jackie Batchelor, Manager, High Risk Foot Service at Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District stated the program “went above and beyond” her expectations.

“Not only did I build on my current knowledge about implementation science but learnt so much more. Plus I met some great people with great ideas, and I’ve come away with my next project for my PhD,” she added.

The masterclass helps participants to refine their project ideas, develop implementation strategies, and identify implementation outcome measures.

As fellow participant Dr Marjan Haghighi acknowledged, the workshop also guides participants through stakeholder engagement approaches to enhance impact.

It was a valuable opportunity to reflect on how to better engage stakeholders, consumers, clinicians, and implementation partners throughout the research and translation process.
