Designing for Delivery: Diverse approaches to seeking stakeholder input to aid implementation

Dr Anna Singleton is an NHMRC Emerging Leadership Fellow and Senior Research Fellow at the Daffodil Centre, University of Sydney with a background in psychology (MSc Experimental Psyc; BSc Hons I Psyc).Anna’s research aims to co-design and implement low-cost, scalable digital health strategies to deliver psychosocial support to people living with/beyond cancer. She has been awarded over $6.4M in grant funding as a chief investigator, has 43 peer-reviewed publications, including a systematic review with meta-analysis in Journal of Clinical Oncology (Impact Factor 43.4).

Associate Professor Alison Pearce is an Associate Professor in health economics interested in the various costs of cancer. Her research aims to use health services research and health economics to improve cancer care by providing relevant, reliable information for decision making.

Alison leads the Health Economics Stream at the Daffodil Centre, a collaboration between the University of Sydney and the Cancer Council NSW and is also based at the Sydney School of Public Health in the University of Sydney. She also teaches introductory health economics and conducts research in oncology using methods including patient preference studies, estimates of productivity loss, and economic evaluations.

Associate Professor Ben Smith is an Implementation Scientist at the Daffodil Centre, University of Sydney, and Cancer Council NSW, where he leads the Triple I (Innovation, Implementation, Impact) team. His research focuses on translating evidence-based psychosocial cancer care into routine practice, with particular expertise in clinical pathway development, stepped care models, and hybrid effectiveness–implementation research. Ben is leading the development and implementation of fear of cancer recurrence clinical pathway incorporating routine screening and triage to stepped care. His work emphasises scalability, equity, and sustainability across the cancer continuum.
