SHP Doubles Implementation Science Academy Fellows

Sydney Health Partners has reaffirmed its commitment to implementation science by doubling the number of Fellows in its Academy.
Seventeen new Fellows have been appointed to the Implementation Science Academy, including for the first time, five with health economics expertise.
The Fellows program supports and recognises those who have expertise in implementing evidence into practice across the SHP network.
The new Fellows will have opportunities to collaborate with one or more of the Clinical Academic Groups, join grant applications as an investigator and participate in at least two SHP events per calendar year, including the SHP Implementation Science Masterclass.
Implementation Science Academy Co-Lead, Dr Zoe Szewczyk, says the appointments will provide the new Fellows with a platform to highlight their achievements, collaborate with other implementation researchers and clinicians and share their expertise.
The Fellows are joining a dynamic community of practice committed to solving real-world problems using evidence-informed approaches.

“The appointment of five health economics Fellows is particularly noteworthy because it helps to meet the growing demand for such expertise to be included in implementation science research projects.
“More broadly, with 34 Fellows now in the Academy, we have made an important step towards building a community of practice with great breadth and depth of skills and experience to implement research evidence into clinical practice.”
