Human Research Ethics Committee Meeting Submission Deadlines

Published on: February 23 2021

Submission deadlines for Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC) meetings across Sydney Health Partners' Health Districts.

The HREC meeting submission calendar allows you to find the next suitable meeting to which you can submit your research for ethics approval. You can obtain approval for your research project from any HREC, not just the Committee in the organisation within which you are conducting your research.

If you are conducting research with a NSW Health Organisation, ethics approval must be acquired from a National Mutual Agreement HREC. Sydney Local Health District (Concord and RPAH), Western Sydney Local Health District, Northern Sydney Local Health District and the Sydney Children's Hospitals Network HREC are all NMA Committees, however the University of Sydney is not, so has not been included in the calendar.

In NSW, ethics proposals for studies that include linkage of routinely-collected state-wide data must be submitted to the NSW Population and Health Services Research Ethics Committee (PHSREC).

While we endeavour to ensure all dates listed are correct, please always refer to the health service's website for the most up-to-date information (linked in the sidebar).
