Linking promising ideas to clinical priorities.
With money from the Medical Research Future Fund’s Rapid Applied Research Translation (RART) initiative, SHP has awarded three rounds of grants. Projects funded in the final round are due for completion by mid-2023.
In addition, Sydney Health Partners and its health service partners have funded three rounds of Implementation Science Pilot Grants. The program supports teams of researchers and clinicians undertaking work in the growing field of implementation science to develop collaborative projects that seek to implement robust evidence into practice.
The grants enable teams to undertake pilot testing of the implementation of an evidence-based intervention, program or innovation, with at least one partner Local Health District or Network. The aim is to help teams build translational research foundations that will lead to longer-term impacts on health services and policy. The pilot project outcomes may help teams to apply for grants via larger funding schemes.
